My biggest indignation...
My biggest indignation today is the mass media. I am angry and dislike the manipulation they exert on specific facts. The power of the media at the moment is very powerful, since the majority of the people are informed by television, being this means one of the most manipulators with respect to the information given.
Specifically, the treatment of media with respect to the student movement has historically been aimed at criminalizing them. Constantly through the screens only the incidents provoked by a small group of people are shown, leaving aside the manifestation and the culture act that most of the students have during a march.
In the television channels, the brutal repression that we live in every student march is not seen either. The repression exercised by police is increasing and attacks without looking at who. Finally this is not shown by the screens, because the idea is that the students are the "bad guys".
As a student of journalism I am tired of these situations, where instead of practically ethically journalism is exercised in favor of the interests of a privileged group. That is why I am proud of the demonstration carried out last year by students where they described the media as "prensa chanta".
We have to know that the role of the media is fundamental and that is why we must do a correct processing of the information, so that people are informed as completely as possible.

I totally agree with you because always, specifically on television and in other media, show only one point of view
ResponderEliminarIt is impressive how the mass media manipulate information in favor of economic groups
ResponderEliminarThe mass media is so horrible, I dislike that a thing made for educate and help the people became a thing made for promote ideals and make the people think the same.
ResponderEliminarI totally agree with you. I think we can use the mass media for such good things. We have many things to change !!
ResponderEliminarI feel hope in this problem because I think like journalism students we can change this reality a little and in a long way.
ResponderEliminarI hope in the future that we can make some positive change in national journalism!
